Chris had been writing articles for us for about four years before officially joining the staff in January 2008.
Chris worked for precious metal mining companies conducting both surface and underground operations, and has a degree in Mining Engineering from Nevada's Mackey School of Mines.
He is an individual prospector who has been searching the hills of California and Nevada for many years, finding some nice gold and gems on many occasions, and discovering a few potentially valuable deposits that were contracted to junior mining companies.
Chris is based in Reno, Nevada, where he lives with his wife and two kids.
