Ray Mills is a fifth generation Californian. He was raised in Trinity County but lives in Redding, Ca. He has been prospecting all his life other than his time served in the military. He enjoys hunting surface pockets with a metal detector. He also loves to fly fish for the local Steelhead. At fifty nine he still enjoys backpacking into the Trinity Alps in his search for gold. He works in the nursing field. All leftover time is devoted to his wife of almost forty years, Debbie.
