BLM Warning About Purchase of Mining Claims on the Internet

In a dramatic reversal of policy the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has posted the following on the huge internet auction house, eBay. Mining claims are currently being offered on eBay with prices ranging into the millions of dollars and apparently the BLM is concerned that many of these claims may not have mineral values that reflect their huge asking prices, be improperly filed, or have one or more of the many other problems that can affect mining claims.Melman on Gold & Silver
Whatever sense of security and peace the Western World had managed to restore was shattered on July 7, when four bombs were detonated on three trains and a double-decker bus in London, England, killing an estimated 70 people and injuring another 700.

Like all federal judges, he swore an oath to perform his duties “impartially… under the Constitution and laws of the U.S.” Nothing in those documents gives Judge Morris authority to order the BLM to work with non-government organizations (the same ones that filed the lawsuit in question) to alter America’s use of energy.

From Curiosity to Mine Owner
His brother’s friend showed him a vial of gold that originated from his family’s mine in Honduras. Within two weeks Ernie had flown to Honduras to get a first-hand tour of the historic mine and the primitive operation underway to recover the gold.

I don’t know of any miner or prospector who really wants to sell their gold. But the income might be needed to keep the mine going, buy new equipment, take a vacation or put food on the table. Whatever the reason, where does a person start?
