Nevada County Feeling Pain of Slumping Mining Industry

A major slump in the gold mining industry is taking its toll on central Nevada, where county commissioners are planning a 30 percent across-the-board spending cut beginning July 1.Yukon Placer Miners Fighting Extreme Discharge Limits

The new limit of 25 parts per million (ppm) sediment does not leave a lot of maneuvering room in terms of discharge.
